FINAL PROJECT: PLAYABLE GAME
What's New?
Here's what I added to finalize my prototype :
- Added the sound effects & background music.
- Added UI (Instruction & Panels)
- Added animation for the enemies (zookeepers & police)
- Finalize Level 3
- Build & Run it in Browser
- Darker eye bags (hehe)
Sound Design
I added sound & music as the final touch for my game. Turns out its wasn't as complicated as I thought and it enhances the overall player experience by providing important auditory cues, feedback, and immersion.

REFLECTION
Experience
Creating my first platform game in Unity was both exciting and overwhelming. However, it was also stressful as I was simultaneously working on other projects, leaving me with limited time to focus on the game. I struggled with seemingly simple tasks, like linking buttons and implementing character animations. The learning curve was steep, and every obstacle felt like a huge challenge. Despite the stress, the satisfaction of completing my first game was immense.
Observation
Throughout the development process, I observed that making a platform game requires attention to detail and patience. Even small tasks could become time-consuming when trying to get everything just right. I found myself relying heavily on YouTube tutorials to guide me through various aspects of the game. While the tutorials were helpful, I also discovered that a single script might not be universally applicable to every situation, leading me to experiment with multiple scripts to solve a single problem.
Findings
Creating my first platform game in Unity was challenging due to time constraints and other ongoing projects. Simple tasks like linking buttons and implementing character animations can take longer than I expected, adding to the stress. I relied on YouTube tutorials to learn various aspects of the game, but not every script worked perfectly for my specific needs, leading me to try multiple solutions. While the final game looks good, I realized that with more time and focus, I could have achieved an even better result. Overall, completing my first platform game was a rewarding accomplishment that encouraged me to continue honing my skills in Unity game development.
