Final Assignment – Research for Journal Article Publication (30%)

All the best! As you are aware, please use the KREATE TDS journal format to submit this assignment. Follow the required word count for each section with the attached font provided in the stream of this Google Classroom that has been shared.

Students are to:
  1. Adapt their dissertation into a concise paper suitable for publication, adhering to The Design School KREATE journal's requirements.
  2. The description in KREATE journal is available at https://thedesignschool.taylors.edu.my/Kreate/index.html
  3. Students as the author are to download the KREATE Raw Input template from https://thedesignschool.taylors.edu.my/Kreate/how-to-submit.html with the specific font to be used, and the authors are not allowed to edit the format set in the template as described in the Manuscript Preparation Guide of the journal.

Final Journal Publication

I finished the journal publication on time and met the word count requirement. I chose the second research objective to focus on which is to study the suitable UI/UX design for elderly users in a mobile healthcare application that helps with COVID-19 management.

  • The first letters of the keywords must be in capital letters
  • Determine which RQ & RO you want to focus on
  • If you focus on the RO, describe the highlight of the study in the title
  • Choose 1 method that answers the focused RO
  • Meet the word count
  • Deadline is in Week 15

General Feedback
  • Dr. Hayati reminded us to love and never harm ourselves. She said that if we had any problem we can always consult with the lecturers. I truly understood that she said this to comfort us as this is a stressful week for most of us. Thank you Dr, I’m sure some of us really needed to hear this.

REFLECTION

Experience
Compared to other projects in this module, I can say this one is far more simpler and took shorter time to finish. I am glad that this is the last project of dissertation project. This has been truly a challenging module because writing and professional researching is not my favorite thing. But I'm happy and relieved because I've finished it quite well.

Observation
Dr. Hayati provided sufficient document and lecture slides about crafting a journal publication. I learned to apply research and writing skills while writing this journal. I learned how to paraphrase and put all the thoughts and long process of research into effective and compact sentences.
  
Findings
I learned for the first time how to make a professional research paper. They may seem short and simple but the process definitely required a lot of thinking and research. I thank Dr. Hayati who has patiently guided her students throughout this long and complex process.
